We’re consistently seeing a 3x return on investment in our paid ads. Our focus has been primarily on Google. We started by pushing the entire catalog of products over into our ads, and after seeing initial success, we decided to segment the feed to improve profitability. 75% of our budget went to the “higher-price” (more profitable) products, while only 25% went to the products that we considered to be less profitable. With this, we wanted to improve profitability, while continuing to dedicate some budget to lower lower-priced items. We did this because the lower priced items typically are purchased by first-time customers. The value in these purchases is not seen in the ROI, but it does open the door to more purchases down the road. Most recently, we’ve created new campaigns designated to push new and exclusive product categories. We’ve scaled our budget from the initial investment and have continued to see a strong ROI.
